The Active Chlorine Dioxide System:
The GTW System is a new method for generating chlorine dioxide (CIO2), the active ingredient in the oral care products. GTW is a two- part disinfectant, available in a dual dispensing, single container. When the two parts are mixed, active gas is released immediately into the solution or gel. CI02, is one of the fastest known disinfectants and odour neutralizers— a “complete spectrum” anti-microbial that kills all bacteria, viruses and yeast in less than a minute in-vitro. Chlorine Dioxide is non-toxic and anti-inflammatory. It does not irritate or leave toxic residues as does chlorine bleach, nor inhibit wound healing.
Chlorine dioxide has been used successfully for 55 years in municipal water purification to control off-tastes, odours, slime, biofilms and microorganism contamination and is EPA approved for these uses. Chlorine dioxide is approved by the FDA for disinfecting fruit, meat, seafood and poultry. Chlorine dioxide is now considered by many to be the best compound available for controlling chronic bad breath and will play an increasingly important role in promoting good oral health.
KCRP, LLC has three products that utilize “active chlorine dioxide” as part of a complete tooth whitening/oral care regime. OTHER PRODUCTS CLAIMING TO USE ACTIVE CI02, are not true. Once mixed, CI02 will only remain active for 6-8 hours, so a toothpaste claiming to have active CD that was mixed weeks ago is no longer active. KCRP, LLC utilizes active chlorine dioxide only. (The products are not mixed until being used.)
